The Traveler's Tales is about our characters striking out onto the traveling worlds, so I wanted to feature a traveling world merging with a planet on the cover. Being that TTT is also a philosophical novel, I very much wanted to parody the common western/romantic philosophy trope of using Caspar David Friedrich's Wanderer above the Sea of Fog as a cover image for generic philosophy books. The other inspirations for the style, fitting for my Great American Science-Fantasy Novel, are the American landscape painters of the early 19th century, especially Thomas Cole, Frederic Edwin Church, and Albert Bierstadt.
